Solventum polycarbonate crowns, central incisor upper right, size 14, 5 pieces

Polycarbonate crowns from Solventum (formerly 3M) are preformed provisional crowns for anterior teeth and premolars in adults, for shorter or longer use. They are slightly translucent and tooth coloured.

This is the upper right central incisor, size 14.

The crowns are made of polycarbonate resin with microglass fibres, for strength and durability. The universal colour is translucent enough to adjust the colour with the material you use to fill the crown. The smooth surface is comfortable for the patient and helps limit plaque accumulation.

You use the crowns as temporary crowns on incisors, canines and premolars. They protect the vitality of the tooth, the preparation margins and the health of the gums.

Trim the crown to size with scissors, then contour, crimp and polish it. The polycarbonate can be contoured and crimped like a metal crown, so it fits the preparation margin well.
